| Naomi Simmons is an experienced composer and writer
of songs for children. |
| |
| The majority of the songs have been written
for educational purposes. However, they are full length and
stand alone as catchy, memorable and entertaining songs in their
own right. |
| |
| The songs for younger children are derived
from the nursery rhyme genre, although ample use is made of
strong and danceable rhythms. |
| |
| The songs for older children are inspired
by the world of contemporary pop songs and also use popular
rhythms and styles from Latin America, Africa, the Caribbean
as well as drawing from jazz, blues and gospel music. |
